American agriculture provides more than an abundant food supply and on March 15, 2016, the agriculture industry invites you to celebrate everything ag with the 43rd National Ag Day!
National Ag Day was originally established by the Agriculture Council of America (ACA) to commemorate and recognize the vitally important role American agriculture plays in the world today. It is also a time to honor every sector of the industry From the farmers to the universities to the agriculture companies and the commodity organizations, Ag Day is an outlet for all to unite to celebrate agriculture.
American farmers, ranchers, and the agriculture industry are tasked with providing enough food, fiber and renewable resources to a continuously growing population. Producers dedicate their lives to supplying the world and are also dedicated to being good stewards of the land and environment.
This is truly a day to reflect on the progress American agriculture has made and to look forward to the future of the industry. National Ag Day has made it simple to join in the celebration. Events will be hosted in Washington, D.C. and all are encouraged to organize local events that engage and educate their communities.
It is important to share agriculture’s story with those removed from the farm gate and there is not a more perfect time to do just that than National Ag Day!
